     (Seattle WA 11/4/05) For 11 seasons, Dwayne Casey was a member of the SuperSonics' coaching staff. On Friday, he returns to Seattle as a rookie head coach when the Minnesota Timberwolves visit Key Arena. He has Minnesota focusing on defense and that could mean trouble for the Sonics, who struggled to generate offense Wednesday night in their season-opener. See more from the Timberwolves site .

     (Seattle, WA 11/4/05 ) --  The Timberwolves dropped a close overtime decision to the Supersonics tonight 107-102.  Kevin Garnett led the T-Wolves with 23 points. In overtime, Ray Allen scored 11 of his 32 game-leading points. in the 5-minute overtime.
    KG hit two free throws as overtime ran down, Wally took another charge and the T-Wolves were down 3-points with 29.3 seconds left in the game. The T-wolves missed a dunk opportunity, and Seattle went into their keep-away game.
    KG fought to make a jumper from the paint, and Wally makes a full court dunk from a KG assist, and the game was tied at 94-94 with 1 minute to go. With 20 seconds to go, in what looked like a rugby scrum, a half dozen players fought for the ball as it went out of bounds to Seattle.
   Minnesota employed a new look zone defense about three minutes into the second quarter. Newly acquired Ron Dupree made a driving dunk to put the T-Wolves up by five with 8:48 remaining in the first half. A Troy Hudson jump shot put them up by six. Richie Frahm hit a nice jumper to hike the lead to 8 points. The Sonics took the lead with 2:45 to go in the half on Ray Allen's free throws 43-42. The lead

traded hands, and then the Sonics pulled even with the Timberwolves on a Lewis Jumper (10 pts) to end the half 47-47.
   The Timberwolves shot a torrid 68% in the 3rd quarter as KG hit 9 points (17/5). Mark Madsen went on a roll, entering the game with two minutes remaining in the quarter and scoring 5 points with 2 rebounds in less than two minutes. The T-Wolves were up 78-73 as the quarter ended.
     Kevin Garnett returned to the game with three minutes gone in the 4th quarter, and scored a jumper from the left corner to bring the score to 80-81. Ray Allen came right back with a jumper, as both leaders began taking control of the game. The Sonics were up 8 with 6:30 left to play, Wally Szczerbiak then hit two buckets to close the lead to 4 points. Jaric knocked down a three to close the gap to one point with 4:27 remaining in the game. Seattle went up 93-89 with 3 minutes to go.
    The Timberwolves were 3:36 into the game before Trenton Hassell scored their first bucket, but three minutes later, they were ahead 12-11 on a fine Hassell driving dunk. Minnesota's 19 turnovers cost it 21 points, and the Wolves got outscored from the foul line 33-14 in an unfulfilling homecoming for former Seattle assistant coach Dwane Casey.
