Wally 30 point game, Garnett rebounds, Jeric scoring give Wolves 99-91 victory over Bucks

(Minneapolis 11/25/05) Wally Szczerbiak scored 30 points and Marko Jeric had 24 lifting the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 99-91 win over the Milwaukee Bucks tonight. Kevin Garnett, who got good support tonight, had 12 rebounds and 6 assists to go along with his 17 points.
But in the last analysis, it was KG and Eddie in a 4th quarter offensive board recovery effort that made the difference. At one pont in the game, the Bucks had the Wolves down 12-2 on the offensive boards.
Wally Szerbiak scored 14 points in the first quarter, and continued his hot hand scoring the first two buckets (18 points) in the 2nd quarter for a 37-28 lead with 9:11 to go in the first half. Kevin Garnett sprained his ankle with 3:45 left in the half, but played on. At one point, the Wolves were shooting 64% from the field, but seemed to go cold after Kevin's injury. The game closed to within one point with two minutes left in the first half. The Wolves did not have a field goal for 5 minutes late in the half, as the Bucks took the lead 41-39 on a 17-0 stint.
With 4 minutes to go, the T-Wolves hit back-to-back shots by KG and Marko Jeric (game-leading 24 points at the time) to go up 89-80 over the Bucks. Troy Hudson later hit a three-point to take the Timberwolves up to their first 10-point lead in the game at 2:50 to go.
