(Cleveland 11/26/05 The Poundmaster) The Minnesota Timberwolves won for the first time on the road tonight, as they downed the Cavaliers by a score of 89-85 in an With 15.9 seconds remaining, Marko Jaric who had more than one huge basket in this game, put the Wolves up 86-82. Kevin Garnett sunk a rainbow jumper from 20 feet with only 2 seconds on the shot clock at 57.9. But Labron James hit a spectacular fall away deep 3-pointer to bring the Cavs within 2 points. Troy Hudsen, who had 18 points, all in the second half, and 3-4 shooting from 3 point range, then put it away with two of his four last 11 seconds free throws.
Kevin Garnett put the Timberwolves ahead 82-78 with two free throws at 2:48 remaining. But Labron James came back with two scores, including a vicious stuff to tie the game at 82-82, with 1 minute remaining. With only 2 second on the shot clock, Kevin Garnett made a rainbow two from beyond the foul circle to give the T-wolves an 84-82 lead.
With 7:22 remaining in the game, Mark Madsen delivered an offensive follow shot to put the Timberwolves back into the lead at 71-70. Another KG effort took the Wolves up 77-75 at the 4:15 mark. A minute later, Troy Hudson put Minnesota up two points on a 3-pointer.
The KG versus James show continued in the second half, with KG scoring on fade-away jumpers, and James hitting from the next county. The game was tied at 46-46. But a James steal and a Snow free throw put the Cavs up 53-48.
