(Salt Lake City 12/5/05 Poundmaster) Wally Szczerbiak had a game leading 26 points but Eddie Griffin pulled down 11 rebounds, had 14 points to go along with his career high 8 blocked shots, as the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Salt Lake City Jazz 91-77 for their second road victory in a row.
Kevin Garnett had 21 points in the winning effort.
"They kept coming to the hole and I just tried to protect it," said Griffin, who had three blocks in the fourth quarter. "My timing was on tonight for the blocked shots. That's just part of my game, I take pride in it."
"Eddie did a good job. Tonight we needed that," Minnesota coach Dwane Casey said. "You need to have one guy like him to be in the paint and protect the basket. Just think of how many points they would have gotten without Eddie."
"Tonight we just exploded (in the second half). At the end of the game, we just had so many options," said Szczerbiak. "We just spaced the floor, we had five guys who could shoot, dribble, pass. (The Jazz) didn't know what to do. They didn't know who to guard."

(Sacramento 12/4/05 Poundmaster) On a rare night when KG could not buy a basket, Wally Szczerbiak and Troy Hudson combined for 18 and 17 points respectively as the Timberwolves downed the Sacramento Kings by a score of 85-77.
The Timberwolves had built a 14-point lead at 70-56 with 9:38 remaining in the game. A Madsen stuff then put them up 72-58.
The T-Wolves had 11 more rebounds than the Kings in the game, 6 more on offense.
The Minnesota Timberwolves had a 16-point lead 56-40 with 6 minutes remaining in the first half.  The Timberwolves surged ahead early on Michael Olowokandi's 8 first quarter points, but the Kings pulled back to tie at 17-17 on Bibby's free throws. The Timberwolves ended the first quarter ahead 25-21 on the strength of Wally Szczerbiak's six points.
