(Orlando 12/30/05 by Poundmaster) The Orlando Magic made the Minnesota defense disappear tonight in a 107-87 Wolves loss. The Timberwolves were never really in this game that saw them lose a season high 20 turnovers, and outrebounded 40-24. The Orlando bench bested the Wolves bench 40-13.
The Wolves again wasted a fine KG double-double effort with 29 points and 11 rebounds. Wally Szczerbiak passed the 20 point per game average mark on the season with 24 points.
At the 8:05 mark in the fourth quarter, Wally Szczerbiak took a charge, and KG hit two to bring the Wolves back to within 12 points at 89-77.
The third quarter saw the Timberwolves come storming back to lead the Orlando Magic 67-66. But then the Wolves went back to sleep to go behind 77-69 at the 1:48 mark in the 3rd quarter, finishing the quarter back 79-72.
The Timberwolves defense went to sleep for most of the first half as the Orlando Magic built a 21 point lead. But as the 2nd quarter closed, the Wolves came storming back on a 9-0 run to close the gap to 59-51 as the first half ended. |
