(Charlotte 4/4/06 by Poundmaster) The Minnesota Timberwolves wasted a 24 point 22 rebound KG effort, losing in the closing minute to the Charlotte Bobcats 97-92. The Timberwolves could not hit their three point shots and gave up critical turnovers down the stretch.
Kevin Garnett had 4 assists to go along with his 24 point 22 rebound night. Ricky Davis scored 20 points. Marcus Banks was a little cold shooting, but added 8 assists.
"Until the Timberwolves break through on the road, any progress made at home will be blunted," reported Rick Alonzo of the Pioneer Press. "Their 23-14 home record is the best of any Western Conference team that currently wouldn't make the playoffs.... (but) They visit the Charlotte Bobcats tonight, towing an 11-game losing streak on the road, the franchise's longest drought since 1998-99."
