Wolves snap 14-game road losing streak, winning 82-79 at Houston

     (Houston 4/12/06 by Poundmaster) Trenton Hassell and Bracey Wright each calmly sunk two free throws with less than four seconds on the shot to put the to give the Minnesota Timberwolves an 82
     Marcus Banks put the Wolves ahead of the Rockets for the first time with a jump shot with 1:27 left. The Wolves had trailed by as much as 18 points in the game. Griffin then blocked a shot with 30 seconds to go to preserve the lead.
     
Banks hit a long ball with 3 minutes remaining to pull the Wolves within one point of the Rockets 77-76, after trailing at one point by 18 points in the game.
     "I had a long talk with the coaches in the locker room at halftime. I was not doing the job. I came out in the second half and got the job done," said Marcus Banks after the game. "I can always learn from my mistakes. I hope those guys back home watching, Kevin, Ricky, Rashad, Troy, we did it for you."
     The Timberwolves missed their first 10 shots and then went down 18 points to the Rockets before steadily pulling back until the trail by only six points at the 8:32 mark of the fourth quarter. At one point, Mad Dog Madsen grabbed three straight rebounds to keep the ball alive on the offensive board and get a score for the Wolves during the comeback period.

     (Memphis 4/11/06 by Poundmaster) The Memphis Grizzlies built a 14 point first half lead and then hung on for a 92-76 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Justin Reed who led the Wolves with 14 points and 8 rebounds, provided second half energy in the Wolves effort to catch the Grizzlies.
